One of my favorite spiders, the jumping spiders, toward the end of this part of The Nature of Oaks, The Rich Ecology of Our Most Essential Native Trees, including fascinating cicadas, and a hairstreak that bats away parasitoids trying to lay an egg on them, plus ants that protect and create the complete conditions and cocoon for another hairstreak to go through it’s all its metamorphoses.
