This is the last chapter (8) of John Muir’s book The Story of My Boyhood and Youth.,He was born in Dunbar Scotland in 1838 and moved to Wisconsin at age 11 north of Portage. If you want to read Muir’s writings further go to sierraclub.org where you can find everything, (as far as I know),,that he wrote. Do you have stories to tell? Write them down,,don’t delay!
