Today an essay about the many benefits of installing prairie strips in row crops by Dave Krier of Valley Stewardship Network. These buffer strips next to row crops save soil and nutrient runoff and provide rich habitat for insects and birds.
This is a repeat from about a year ago, but this is such a winning strategy that it is well worth exploring again.
