We will hear about the Peoples Garden Initiative, a program of the US Department of Agriculture, with the Xerces Society and others working as partner organizations. They are devoted to creating green spaces, gardens in urban areas that involve and educate students, fostering gathering places, community and friendship, as well as growing badly needed food and native plants for insect pollinators.
