"Tony's Farm" Book Cover“Along the Great River Road near the village of Victory, Wisconsin, Tony’s farm is where the infamous and historic Battle of Bad Axe came to its tragic end. Living on this historic land in the early 1900s brought good times and many memories for Tony and his family. Selling some of his land on Battle Island to Vernon County in the ’50s, it has been developed into Black Hawk Memorial State Park to memorialize the Black Hawk War of 1932, and to provide recreation for the surrounding area.”
