The Skeptical Naturopath
with Dr. Paul Ratte & Christina Derocher
2nd Sunday at 12:00PM
Welcome to The Skeptical Naturopath. Meet Dr. Paul Ratté, a naturopathic doctor and associate professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. His journey into the world of naturopathic medicine began during a trip to Japan in 1990, where he
reclaimed his digestive health from the clutches of irritable bowel syndrome through dietary changes. Along this unexpected path, he rediscovered his childhood wish to become a doctor
and fulfilled it by becoming a naturopathic doctor in 1997.
Over the past 26 years, Dr. Paul has accumulated extensive knowledge in both medical science and the art of clinical practice. Blessed with the opportunity to share his expertise with students
and patients, he remains committed to validating the distinctive health journey of each individual and guiding their narrative toward a path of optimal health.
What sets Dr. Paul apart is his ongoing quest for critical thinking and healthy skepticism. He believes in a thorough examination of all possibilities to ensure a well-rounded perspective. As he often quotes from a sculpture titled The Writer’s Desk, “If the three most difficult words to say in the English language are, ‘I was wrong,’ then perhaps the next in line is, ‘I don’t know.'”
Join us as we delve into the insights, experiences, and skepticism of Dr. Paul Ratté.
Christina Derocher is happy to be co-hosting Paul Ratte’s Skeptical Naturopath radio show. She was a typical 80’s kid raised on the Standard American Diet of the time. When a boy from community college poetry class asked her on a date, but brought his own lunch her whole life changed! 25 years of delving into the Macrobiotic lifestyle enabled her to heal illnesses developed from childhood, avoid the pitfalls she saw her peers succumbing to, and focus on the
present moment.
She has eternal gratitude for the people she’s met and the wisdom she’s gleaned within her macrobiotic community. Perimenopause provided a new opportunity to re-evaluate and recognize the blind spots within macrobiotics. Christina is inspired by Paul’s “N of one”, and continues to pursue “The Big Life”!
