Daniel Peak’s professional career focused on researching international crime targeting fraud, corruption, money laundering, terrorism, narcotics trafficking, sanctions violations, human trafficking, illegal arms dealers and more. Daniel left Thomson Reuters in 2012 after leading the sale of a research company, World-Check, to Thomson Reuters. Daniel continues to work as an advisor to companies operating in this space with products combating money laundering, fraud and tax evasion.
Daniel is an avid birder and contributed a column to the Kickapoo Free Press for a number of years which led to regular appearances on WDRT programs that set him on path to the current program, Conversations where he is one of a rotating list of hosts. Along with Mark Taylor, Daniel is the co-host of the WDRT Monthly Review.
Mark L. Taylor worked as a newspaper editorial cartoonist and reporter for The Albuquerque Tribune and did freelance writing for a variety of organizations, including the National Wildlife Federation and Ralph Nader’s organization. He was part of an investigative reporting team that explored the international trade in wildlife that was a runner-up for the Pulitzer Prize. For the past 25 years he worked as a psychotherapist before retiring in January 2020. He still does political cartooning for the Commoner Call.
