A celebration of Rock’n’Roll music. Two hours of decibel decadence hosted by Rick, Fridays at 8pm.

Rick Poss was introduced to Rock’n’Roll music when he was just two years old and heard “Hound Dog” by Elvis Presley. Having come along much later than his seven siblings, he was surrounded by teenagers and adults in his toddler years, and at age four he was exposed to the four albums that would change his life: Led Zeppelin’s untitled fourth album, Deep Purple’s “Made In Japan,” Alice Cooper’s “Love It To Death,” & Kiss’s “Alive”(his favorite album ever). By the time he was 12, he’d also discovered AC/DC, The Rolling Stones & Van Halen, all cementing his love for Rock’n’Roll. Regarding rock subgenres, his favorite heavy metal band is Iron Maiden and his favorite punk band is The Ramones.

Playing everything from first generation rockers of the 1950s to some of today’s bands that are carrying the torch, with an emphasis on lesser-known songs, Rick sees his Rock Show as just his own personal way of helping to keep Rock’n’Roll music alive in the new millennium. Rick is also a huge fan of 20th century pop culture in general (particularly the 1970s and 80s, as you can tell by his playlists). Whether it’s a rock band, movie, or TV show — if he loves it, he can probably tell you way more about it than you ever wanted to know, much to both his pride and embarrassment.
