Last year, WDRT successfully raised $91,900 for initial capital costs.

And we're using this funding, combined with the help of some excellent local volunteers, to begin constructing the studios and purchasing broadcasting and transmission equipment. Thanks again to everyone who made this possible. Together, we’re making great progress.

Phase 2 Fund-raising Will Enable WDRT to Operate For First Year

We Are Well On Our Way!

But we need your help to raise another $91,900 to fund our startup operations. Your Phase 2 contribution will allow WDRT’s volunteers to: produce and purchase programming; build a music library; pay for studio space and the electricity needed to broadcast and transmit our signal; train new volunteers; and continue getting the word out about the station. Soon we’ll have studios full of equipment—but without an adequate operations fund, we won’t be able to issue a signal.

Thanks to generous support from individuals and businesses we’re on our way to reaching our Phase 2 goal. As of August 20, 2010, we have raised HALF of the $91,900 we need to bring the station to the airwaves this summer.
